Amplification of Sensation

His design is a chair made of discarded plastic pieces and at the same time serves as a public sculpture. He named the chair "amplification of the senses" and installed it on the Han River, the most beloved place in Seoul. The Han River is one of the few places where citizens can feel nature in the polluted city of Seoul. Through this design, users can relax in the Han River and focus on the scenery and sounds, and through this, they can recall the importance of nature. The designer wanted the design to be functional and include social messages at the same time.

Big bin

The Big.Bin is a container designed to help humanize the city. Its clean shapes approach it to the domestic sphere, seeking greater empathy with the user. Its gentle and rounded forms create an organic volume easy to integrate in any environment, making it perfect for city centres, parks or residential areas. Big.Bin’s container island will create an accessible and clearly identified space for waste collection in the city, encouraging selective collection among citizens.

Eternity

A two seated bench made of liquid stone. Two robust units are providing a comfortable and embracing seating experience and at the same time, they take care of the system's stability. The endings of the bench are positioned in such a way that neutralizes the slightest movement. It's a bench that respects the existing infra-structure of an urban environment. Easy on-site installation is introduced. Anchorage points no more, just drop & forget. Beware, Eighternity is near. oh yeah.

This project is based on the Concept idea of "Drop & Forget", that is, easy on site installation with minimum installation costs in respect to the existing infra-structures of an urban environment. Robust concrete fluid forms, carefully balanced, creates an embracing and comfortable seating experience.

Ola

This bench, designed following eco-design strategies, takes street furniture to a new level. Equally at home in urban or natural surroundings, the fluid lines create a variety of seating options within one bench. The materials used are recycled aluminium for the base and steel for the seat, chosen for their recyclable and durable properties; it has a bright and resistant powder coated finish ideal for outdoor use in all weathers. Designed in Mexico City by Daniel Olvera, Hiroshi Ikenaga, Alice Pegman and Karime Tosca.
